This beast was forged in England sometime between 1890-1915. It is likely made by Peter Wright, or Nash who bought them out. It's tall sleek proportions are the classic shape the company became known for.
Excellent rebound, and a clean flat face. This steel face had been forge welded on in 3 sections, as was typical with larger forged English anvils, so those two lines across the face are original and not abuse. It has very clean edges ready for work. There is a small crack at the very edge of the heel. There is no loss of ring or rebound in this area. This is a monster anvil ready for heavy work.
Continental USA shipping is included in the purchase price ONLY if shipped to a commercial location with forklifts, or to a carrier terminal where it would then be picked up by the buyer. If the anvil is to be delivered to a residential location, or need a liftgate service shipping charges will apply, and will be charged AFTER the anvil is bought and paid for. We will arrange shipping details after purchase.
