This 508 pound forged Coachmakers anvil is one of the largest I have ever seen. Likely forged by Attwood. Used by coachmakers, or carriagemakers, the small side horn was used to bend the many square U shaped brackets to hold the square section of axle to the underside of the carriage.
Excellent rebound and clean face. Some saddle, but nothing enough to hinder work. The edges are crisp and ready to use. The side horn is a useful shape to use for smaller forgings as well.
Continental USA shipping is included in the purchase price ONLY if shipped to a commercial location with forklifts, or to a carrier terminal where it would then be picked up by the buyer. If the anvil is to be delivered to a residential location, or need a liftgate service shipping charges will apply, and will be charged AFTER the anvil is bought and paid for. We will arrange shipping details after purchase.
